Public Park

Well known

Just north of the city centre, Inverleith Park serves as a major public park spanning over 64 acres making it one of Scotland's largest public park's. Frequented by locals, especially dog walkers it is one of the city's favourite green lungs. Situated just across from the Royal Botanic Gardens the green space houses 3 football pitches, 4 rugby, and 6 seven-a-side pitches, 4 tennis courts, and a cricket square. The park host lots of events each year and proves as popular firework viewing spot as it provides beautiful views over the city.

The majority of the site is open park space, however the north western quarter of the park has been designated for allotments and cultivated gardens including a rose garden. On the south side of the park there is a large boating pond, and attractive wetlands.

The park is serviced by bus routes including 42, 24, 23 and 27.
